Match Report:

This was our first game for six weeks and it took some time for us to get it together. Both sides were evenly matched, our forwards were winning some good lineout ball and were able to drive forward but the heavy Liberton pack soon stopped our progress. An early penalty was converted by Andy Kerr when the Liberton backs were caught offside but Liberton responded quickly when our forwards were ruled offside at a ruck. The first try was worth waiting for, quick ball from an excellent lineout inside the Liberton 22 the ball went out to the backs and Dave Cadden hit the line at pace and left the cover for dead to score. Andy Kerr converted. The second try followed shortly, Liberton failed to find touch with the clearance kick and when pressed infield Rusty outstriped the defence to go over.

Half-time 15-3

With the luxury of six replacements some changes were made at half-time. The half started well with Stuart MacDonald going over after good work again at the lineout. Hoody missed the conversion after an unfortunate slip when he went to strike the ball. Liberton defence was still solid and a number of attempts by Moray House backs to break their line failed. Eventually after good second phase ball was secured inside the Liberton 22, Rusty went blind and passed to Joe who scored in the corner. The next score followed shortly after with Hoodie scoring an individual effort with help of two dummy runners. Liberton were still playing some good rugby and running the ball at every oppurtunity. A great forward try rounded off the performance when Ricky fed Dougie from the lineout with quick ball. Dougie found space 'open' up in front of him to make the break around the front of the lineout, the ball then went inside to Garry and then to Ricky to score.
